Vivian Ellis Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Ellis of Metropolis, Illinois, born in Perks, Illinois, who passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Vivian departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Vivian may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Vivian leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Julian and Gertrude Price Julian; and her sisters, Mona Harmon, Ruby Johnson and Glenda Miller.

She is survived by: her children, Stacy Willyerd (Todd) of Jonesboro, Carrie Ellis (Brad) of Perks, Mona Ellis of Metropolis and Brad Ellis of Metropolis. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
