As Wayne departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Wayne may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Wayne leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Walter and Lois Krueger (Verbarg); and his son Carl Russell "Rusty" Krueger. He is survived by: his children, Rachael Krueger (Tamara), Sheila Krueger Goines, Brian Krueger (Kristen) and Justin Krueger (Meaghan); and his siblings, Sandra Hazel, Annie Jackson, David Krueger (Treila), John Krueger (Marsha) and Tony Krueger (Reda). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Loftus-McManus Funeral Homes Inc. (70 Jon St, Metropolis, IL 62960). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery (2824 North Ave, Metropolis, IL 62960).
