With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Lauderdale of Metropolis, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosella A. Lauderdale (Hanson) and Calvin L. Lauderdale; his parents-in-law, Elie T. and Frieda McCoy; his brother Ricky Lauderdale; and his siblings-in-law, Karen and Jerry Leek.
He is survived by: his family William; his wife Judy Lauderdale (McCoy); his daughter Michelle Smith (Cory); his grandchildren, Zander Smith and Zoe Smith; his siblings, Linda L. Clayton (Joe), Donna Barrett (Randy) and Calvin Leo Lauderdale (Beth); and his stepmother Estela Lauderdale. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church (670 Airport Rd, Metropolis, IL 62960). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
