We are sad to announce that, on April 2, 2026, at the age of 83, Charles R. Gladfelder of Milan, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Charles leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Charles may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Gladfelder and Viola Gladfelder (Melton); his son Charles Jr.; his son-in-law Jerry Smith; and his brothers, Larry and Raymond Gladfelder.
He is survived by: his close friend Andrea Grimes; his former wife Sandra Bradley of Trenton, MO; and his daughters, Linda Smith of Trenton, MO and Tawnya Farmer (Brian) of Trenton, MO. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.
