He is survived by: his mother Sheila Hinden (Settles); his stepfather Kenneth Ostofi of Durant, Iowa; his children, Tim, Cody, James Hinden and Elisha Hinden; his close friend Kim McKeag of Milan; his stepsiblings, Julie and Jimmy Hinden; his aunt Glena Settles; his uncle Sonny Settles (Debbie); and his nephews, Bob and Dan Houk.
