He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Fildes and Naomi Fildes (Brummet); his siblings, Elsworth Fildes (Cleta), Elener Patridge (Leland) and Evelyn Fulk; his nephew Greg Patridge; and his sister-in-law Jacquie Harding.
He is survived by: his wife Terri Fildes of Milan; his daughter Amanda "Mandy" McCartney (Robert) of Sherrard; his granddaughter Kadence "Kate" McCartney; his stepsons, Ryan Keller (Brandy) of Towanda and Brett Martin (Jen) of Commerce City, Colorado; his stepgrandchildren, Grant, Georgia, Gwendolyn Keller and Zoë Martin; his stepgreat-grandson Maverick Keller; his mother-in-law Patricia; his siblings-in-law, Tomi Bailey (Marvin), Karl Storer (Lisa) and Sam Harding; his nephews, Robert Fildes (Anne) and Jeff Patridge (Becky Smith); and his niece Anita Redford (Joe).
