George J. Garvey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George J. Garvey of Milan, Illinois, born in Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Patrick and Margaret Garvey (Wiggers); his daughter Melissa Garvey; and his brother Bill Garvey. He is survived by: his children, Michael Diane Hernandez (Don) of Austin, Matthew Garvey of Austin, Mark Alan Garvey (Mary) of Austin, Amber Downing of Milan, Jessica Meyer (Robert) of Moline, Richard Downing (Trisha) of Milan and Ashley Garvey of Milan; and his sister Patricia Jimenez (Paul) of Davenport. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in George's memory.
