With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hannelore Huisman (Milan, Illinois), who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilie Eppler and Friedrich Eppler; her grandson Addison Hudson; and her son-in-law John DeLong. She is survived by: her husband James Huisman; her sister Doris Rindermann of Frankfurt, Germany; her children, Doris Cotton (Mark), Patricia DeLong, Diana Hudson (Steve) and Rick Huisman (Vikki); and her grandchildren, Myke Cotton (April), Steffanie Cotton (Ben DePauw), Jaime Brown (Jeff), Amber DeLong (Zac Betcher), Joseph DeLong, Britney Wilson (Ryan), Terence Hudson, Ian Hudson (Anne), Haley Hudson (Josh Eaton), Dani Hudson, Jacob Huisman, Joshua Huisman and Benjamin Huisman. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 7 bonus great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory (201 4th Ave E, Milan, IL 61264). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church (115 12th Ave W, Milan, IL 61264).
