With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Judith Pappas of Milan, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Judith left this world on December 7, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Mae (Van Dolah) and Arnold Rennison Sr. of Illinois City, IL.; her husband John N. Pappas; her brother Arnold "Sonny" Rennison Jr.; her daughter Barbara; her children-in-law, Dawayne Jacobs and Liz Pappas; and her grandson John Blake Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Arnold Pappas, Nicholas Pappas (Linda) and Rev. Peter J. Pappas (Helen); and her sister Ruth Gass. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory - Rock Island (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A prayer was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (2930 31st Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
