She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond O. Heilwagner and Miriam Heilwagner (Shatzer); and her brother Raymond Heilwagner Jr.. She is survived by: her son Ricky Herbert (Dawn); and her grandchildren, Camie and Maxwell Herbert.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Milan American Legion Auxiliary or to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center.
