He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Reed and Elizabeth Reed (Crosby); and his siblings, Margaret Masengarb, Jim Reed and George Reed.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Street; his sons, Robert Reed Jr. (Denise) and Rod Reed (Diane); his grandchildren, Amie Herrera (Drew), Joel Reed, Tyler Reed (Alyssa Griffin), Hunter Reed and Kirsten Reed; his great grandchild Ben Herrera; and his siblings, Roy Reed (Katie), Bonnie Corbin, Linda Wood, Roger Reed (Brenda) and David Reed (Debbie).
