She was predeceased by: her parents, James Simmons and Lucy Simmons (Segura); her son Joseph Patrick Harl; and her siblings, Kenneth Simmons, Shirley Inglis and Barbara Rangel.

She is survived by: her husband George E. Harl; her children, Theresa Thoren (Mark), Milan, Randy Harl (Cathy), Bettendorf, George Harl (Alice), Micaela Switzer (Casey) and Viola; and her sisters, Rosalie Hayes, Jackie Charter and Rock. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
