Barnes Sr. of Millstadt, Illinois, who passed away on May 26, 2025 at the age of 70, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his father Allen S. Barnes. He is survived by: his mother Evelyn R. Barnes (Limpert); his children, Heather Shelton (John), Caren Barnes (Nicholas Brooks), Brian Barnes, Jr. and Michael Barnes (Hanna); his stepdaughter TerriAnn Watson; his siblings, Allen Barnes (Joyce), Denise Oppermann, James Barnes, Carol Morrison (George), Evie Williams and Janice Kramer (Terry); his grandchildren, Joshua Shelton, Trinity Shelton, Brady Shelton, Ricky Shelton, Bonnie Shelton, Sofia Shelton, Alijah Shelton, Ellie Shelton, Madalyn Miller, David Miller, Erika Carrol, Stella Barnes and Jack Barnes; and his great grandchild Cheyenne Sanchez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (405 W Madison St, Millstadt, IL 62260).
