The memory of Curt Reno of Millstadt, Illinois, who passed away on August 16, 2025 at the age of 72, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardell "Art" (Esther Lee) and Reno; and his sister Kay Obernuefemann. He is survived by: his wife Sherri; his son Garrett (Mariah Gass); his siblings, Gail Kostel (Terry) and Lane Reno (Sandy); and his siblings-in-law, Patti Stephens, Catherine Taylor Yank, Debbi Scharf (Kent), Rick Taylor (Theresa) and Dave Obernuefemann. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.

“I played a lot of volleyball with Curt over the years and we had a lot of fun both on the court and socializing after the game. Curt had a great sense of humor and was a joy to be around. He loved his family and he loved his sports…..such a good athlete. I know he fought a tough battle with his diabetes and kidney disease but he was a fighter.
