He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Pfeiffer; his father Melvin (Cleon); his siblings, Dennis Pfeiffer, Deborah Hildebrandt and Linda Jean Pfeiffer; and his sister-in-law Joanne Riester.

He is survived by: his children, Bradley Pfeiffer (Pam) and Amy Gomric (Steven); his grandchildren, Oliver Pfeiffer, Claire Pfeiffer, Avery Gomric and David "Bo" Gomric; and his brothers-in-law, John Stier (Shelley), David Riester and John Hildebrandt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to St. Henry Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

“Mr. P was our favorite. He was our 7th grade history and 8th grade Goverment teacher at Mcray Dewey there in Troy, I think I had him in 86/87. I reconnected with him after getting back from the service and he was at the new Triad building. He came out to our annual camp out a few years ago, two years in a row, before becoming to ill to drive. I’m so glad we got to know him on that level. I’ll try to be there for the funeral, as it’s our camp week.”
