She was predeceased by: her husband Charles; her parents, Anthony Rukavina and Lillian Rukavina; and her siblings, Anthony Rukavina, Dolores Wells and Frances Bunch.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth River of Breese, IL, Catherine Salmons (Charles) of Oakdale, IL, Nancy River (Chuck Daily) of Millstadt, IL and Charles "Chaz" R. River, Jr. of Millstadt, IL; her granddaughters, Connie Redden (Gerald) of St. Libory, IL and Cathie M. Dillon of Apex, NC; her great grandchildren, Isaac Oser (Tatyana Brown), Adeline Oser (Alex Lang), Lily Kell and Ella Redden; and her sister Janet Smith (Ronnie) of Dupo, IL..
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kassly Mortuary, Ltd. (9900 St Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
