He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Wilbur and Hazel Marie Hoteling Moffitt; and his wife Faith Ann Luck. He is survived by: his children, Samantha Black (Nathan), Brittany Moffitt and Byron Lane Moffitt Jr.; his stepson Billy Standage of Springfield; and his brother Lee Moffitt (Becky). He is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
