Matthew Gorga Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew Gorga of Mokena, Illinois, who passed away on June 23, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew J. Gorga and Theresa Gorga (Fierro); his siblings, Ed Szudy and Cathy Richter; and his brother-in-law Tony Trella.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Gorga (Trella); his daughter Jennifer Spano (Nick); his grandchildren, Harper Spano and Jackson Spano; his siblings, Frances Gorga and Pat Gorga; and his sisters-in-law, Patty Kearnes (Garry) and Laura Trella-Owak. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery (16201 104th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60467).
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
