He is survived by: his wife Marian Rodriguez; his children, Virginia Casel (Todd), Lisa Martinez, Christine Martinez and A. J. Martinez (Kassandra); his grandchildren, John Jr., Ethan, Andrew, Jake and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Mary Ramirez of Sterling, IL and Henry Martinez (Joyce).
