With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Amélé Esséyévom Agegee Mombou of Moline, Illinois, who passed away on April 11, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kouami Agegee and Essévonamé Koutodjo; and her brother Alfred. She is survived by: her husband Abalovi Mombou of Jehovah's Witnesses; her children, Dede Da Silva (Francis), Kokoe Aziati (Yawo), Sem Folly Mombou (Sarah) and K. Sam Mombou (Rachel); her grandchildren, Leroy, Lola, Shayo, Brianna, Jaaziel, Manuela, Noah and Sammy; and her siblings, Sylvain Agegee (Colette), Sosthenia Tchiakpe (Eric), Guy Gnaglo-Agegee (Christine) and Beni Gnaglo-Agegee (Nadege). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and at 2:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 3:00 PM at the same location.
