With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara K. Selhost of Moline, Illinois, who passed away on October 27, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Barbara had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Barbara may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Allen and Virginia "Bea" Allen (Evans); her spouse Dale Selhost; and her son Daryl Selhost. She is survived by: her children, Doug Selhost, Terri Favela and Michael Selhost (Joan); and her sister Gloria Surratt (Niles) of Sherrard, IL. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
