He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberto Reyes and Linda Sue Cunningham; his sister Joanna Hulsey; his uncle Darwin Tinnian; and his sister-in-law Andrea Padilla.
He is survived by: his pets, P. J. and Sassy; his siblings, Robert Reyes, Becky (Rosa Dell) of Davenport, Iowa and Laura Watts of Davenport, Iowa; and also Ben. He is also survived by 27 nieces and nephews, his family and his furry companions.
