He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Cunningham and Loretta Cunningham (Sweiss); and his grandson Matthew Jacob Malone. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Bettag; his children, Terry, Debbie Field (Jeff) of Simi Valley, Betty Johnston (Ron) of Clinton, Andy Cunningham of St. Charles, Nancee Malone (Rick) of Clinton and Janice Cook (Chris) of Bowen, Illinois; and his brother Gary Cunningham of Mesa, Arizona.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
