She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Phillips and Inez Phillips (DeHaven); and her husband Lee McAllister. She is survived by: her children, Thomas of Cozad, NE, Rebecca of North Platte, NE and Jeana McAllister of Champaign, IL; and her sister Marvel Heuke of Kearney, NE.

Her final gift was to donate her body to the Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City.
