Carolyn K. Carsell Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2022, at the age of 83, Carolyn K. Carsell of Moline, Illinois, born in Davenport, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Edward Karasek and Esther Karasek (Vergo); her husband Jim; her children, J. Patrick Carsell (Laurel) of Dalton, Chris Carsell of Moline and Susie Schaechter (Joe) of Moline; her grandchildren, Emilie Mathias (Joseph), Blake Carsell (Sarah Polo), Rebecca Clark (Jeremiah) and Kate Schaechter; her great grandchildren, Shepherd Mathias, Cambridge Mathias and Maxine Carsell; and her sister Patricia Karasek.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Renee Fluhr-Callahan wrote a sympathy message

“I am saddened to hear about the passing of Carolyn. I worked with Carolyn at Jefferson for over ten years. I was her replacement as the first-grade teacher at TJ after she retired. I will always remember Carolyn's love for teaching and her family. She was such a good friend and so fun to be around. She will be sadly missed by the Bettendorf community and by her family and friends.”
