He was predeceased by: his parents, William K. Deaton and Beulah West Deaton; his wife Barbara Ann Stephens; his grandson Brian Deaton; his great grandchild Waylen Deaton; and his siblings, Helen Shottner, William Deaton, Paul Deaton, William Deaton Jr., Billy Jo Deaton and Peggy Clayton.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven Deaton (Tammy) of Moline, IL and Scott Deaton (Jennifer) of Colona, IL; and his grandchildren, Brett, Melissa, Allison, Nicholas, Olivia, Carter and Julian. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in care of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Rock Island.
