She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa Sherwood and Mildred Sherwood (Helderman); her husband Marlin Rodemeyer; her son Karl Rodemeyer; her siblings, Bob, Barbara Francescon and Velma Koester; and her son-in-law Keith Embry.

She is survived by: her children, Sheila Rodemeyer of Moline, Gretchen Embry of Rock Island and Augie Rodemeyer (Wendy) of Mineral, Illinois; her sisters, Ina Kay Romanelli of Denver, Colorado and Aceine Allen of Rock Island; her grandchildren, Adam Karl Rodemeyer, Alexis Holtzer and Barret Embry; and her great grandchildren, Alex Berhenke and Anastasia Potter.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wendt Funeral Home (1811 15th St Pl, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be made in Charlotte's honor to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, a charity dear to her heart.
