He was predeceased by: his brother Marty Trout. He is survived by: his wife Brenda L. Sparks; his children, Nancy Sparks, Jennie Trout, Robert Abrahamsen (Lindsey), Katy Sparks, Randy Abrahamsen (Sam), Scott Abrahamsen, Rick Abrahamsen and Tony Abrahamsen (Vanessa); and his brothers, Larry Trout, Tim Trout, Sr. (Deborah), Allen Trout, Jr. and Russell Trout (Chrystal).

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
