He is survived by: his wife Marsha; his children, John Holmes and Thomas Holmes (Grace Shelton) of Lebanon, IN; his grandson Kit; his siblings, Lesa Holmes (Michael Wendelken), Dean Holmes (Meridith Herdes) and Steven Holmes (Brenda); his mother-in-law Patricia Lundgren; his sisters-in-law, Deborah Rice and Sally Jensen (Jeff); and his nieces and nephews, Marianne, Daniel, Scott, Nicholas, Matthew, Shannon and Elliott.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rafferty Funeral Home (2111 1st Street A a, Moline, IL 61265, USA). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bible Study Fellowship.
