He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Annette Kakavas (Roman) and John William Kakavas. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Gardner; his children, Alyssa Forehand (Chance) of Cape Coral, FL and Christian Byrd (Schona) of Moline, IL; his grandchildren, Lynley, Carter, Brooklynn, Olivia, Liam and Cassadee; his siblings, Amy Kakavas of Racine, WI, Kara Chaar of Burridge, IL, Rebecca Kakavas-Ballard of Rock Island, IL, Timothy Kakavas of North Liberty, IA and Kristian Kakavas of Moline, IL; his nieces and nephews, Jeremiah Frye, Zachary Frye, Joshua Frye, Daniel Kakavas, Mathew Kakavas, Kagan Kakavas, Emma Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Yasmina Chaar, Malik Chaar and William Charr; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Zoey Kakavas, Joseph Kakavas, Apryle Frye, Ava Frye, McKenna Frye and Ezra Frye.
