He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William M. Coopman, and Phyllis Coopman, Sr. (Aswege); his brother William Coopman, Jr. (Sandra) of Tremont, IL; his niece Merry Sumer; his nephew Chris Coopman; his close friend Judy Carls of Palm Desert, CA; and his cousin Belgium.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center for Belgian Culture or RI County Historical Society or the Moline Second Alarmers.
