He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Halverson and Bertha Halverson (Lowell); his sons, Todd, Trent and Reid Halverson; his brother Jay; and his sister-in-law Karen Halverson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Halverson; his sons, Scott (Bobbie Halverson) and Brock (Megan Halverson); his grandchildren, Dustin Halverson, Preston Halverson (Katie), Graham Halverson and Emme Halverson; his great grandchild Ava Rose; his nephews, Jay Halverson (Sonya) and John Halverson (Paula); and his niece Wendi Cooksey (Bob).
In honor of Dean's lifelong dedication to education, memorials may be made to the Bettendorf Community Schools Foundation (https://www.foundation.bettendorf.k12.ia.us), where the family hopes to establish a scholarship in his name for Bettendorf students.
