He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Swanson and Ruth Swanson (Larson); his wife Sally Snyder; his son Steve; his great grandchild Kelsie; and his sister June Hedquist.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Hogg, Dave Swanson (Sandra) and Sheri Patterson (Jeff); Susie Swanson of North Augusta, SC. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rafferty Funeral Home (2111 1st Street A a, Moline, IL 61265, USA). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First United Presbyterian Church (801 16th St, Moline, IL 61265).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church or Samaritan's Purse.
