He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle McRoberts and Abby McRoberts (Gum); his wife Betty Mae Kennelly; his son Michael McRoberts; and his brother Robert McRoberts.

He is survived by: his son David McRoberts of Moline; and his grandchildren, Jaron McRoberts, McKenna McRoberts, Leslie Barrett (Ryan) and Jacob McRoberts.

Memorials may be made to University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital.
