He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Charles and Eleanor Nightingale (Lewis); and his son Edward A. Nightingale Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Margie L. Lee; his children, Pendalyn "Penny" Dawson (Donald) and Jay Nightingale; his grandchildren, Derek Dawson, Rebecca Dawson, Leean Nightingale, Levi Nightingale and Alan Nightingale; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Zoey, Juleah and Elana; and his siblings, Yvonne Gravitt, Kathy Otts, Joetta Carey (Gary) and William Nightingale (Deb) of Ankeny, IA..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
