He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Gibson and Mary Gibson (Newberry); his son-in-law Wayne Barnett; and his siblings, Albert, Eugene, Francis, Gilbert Lee Gibson, Aubrey Gibson and Dorothy Grubb.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Gibson (Denise) of Douglasville, Carolyn "Keli" Schaller (Randall) of Fairfield, Lee Gibson (Cynthia) of Murrieta and Charity Barnett of Rock Island; his grandchildren, Stacey Houske (Jared), Brianna Skovronski, Kayla Saxon (Zacharey), Amber Stutzman, Tabitha Schaller and James Gibson; his great grandchildren, Parker, Cambrie, Kade, Carter, Cameron, Alexander and Naomi; and his siblings, Marion "Jack" Logsdon, Audrey Bess, Elsie Jones and Nora Pangelinan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Horizon Room at Trimble Pointe (701 12th St, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at 1502 15th St, Moline, IL 61265.
