He is survived by: his children, Peggy Kluck (John), Thad Smith (Sherri), Lorie Crumley (Steven), Garvin Smith III (Helle), Alesha Runco (Franco), Daniel Smith (Renni) and Julie Moder; and his siblings, Juanita Sanders and Charles Smith. He is also survived by his children or grandchildren.
