She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferne Peterson and Milton Peterson; her husband Harold Millard Lawson; her children, Joel Lawson, James Lawson and Cheryl Lawson; her brother Mahlon Peterson; her children-in-law, Laura Lawson and Tim Swanson; her grandchildren, Robin Watson and Jonathan Lawson; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Lawson and Tyler Snyder.
She is survived by: her children, Cara Craft (Mark) of Viola, Carolyne Swanson (Jim Nelson) of Lynn Center and Jason Lawson (Emily Wignall) of Alpha. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren with one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Swedona Lutheran Church (1493 Knoxville Rd, Lynn Center, IL 61262). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
