James Fobert Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Bud" Fobert and Joan Wells Fobert; his brother Gary Fobert; and his nephew Cory Creger. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Fobert of Moline; his children, Michelle Bottenberg (Charlie) of Waukee, IA, Jimmy M. Fobert (David Singletary) of Roseland, NJ and Missy Lambrecht (Paul) of Moline, IL; his grandchildren, Liam, Alaina, Landon, Charlotte, Sophia, Matthew, Ethan and Emma; his siblings, Rita Daffara (Larry), Pamela Creger (Michael), Theresa Martinez (Tony), Mary Randall (Troy), Joni Saelens (Bill), Cheryl Akin (Doug), David Fobert (Barbara), Thomas Fobert (Laurie), Robert Fobert (Lori), Steve Fobert (Kim) and Greg Fobert (Sandy); and his sister-in-law Nancy Fobert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius Catholic Church (2502 29th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
In honor of Jim's legacy, the family asks for memorials, in lieu of flowers, to Alleman High School and the Illinois Association of Retired Firefighters.
