He is survived by: his children, Steve (Debby), Kathy Koester (Mike), Greg (Dianne Schwochert), Debbie Lord and Karen Hartzell; and his grandchildren, Adam Hartzell (Yana Sorokin), Kirstin Eller (Dwayne), Tim Young, Brandon Young, Breanne Young (Donny Salisbury), Nick Hartzell, Elizabeth Shutters, Andrew Lord (Elizabeth Woolley), Laura Lord, Jeff Hartzell (Alex) and Sara Hartzell (Alex Borodemos). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rafferty Funeral Home (2111 1st Street A a, Moline, IL 61265, USA). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
