He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Strayhall and Mary Strayhall; his wife Theresa Campbell; and his stepsiblings, Tom Craig, Marjorie Franklin and Margaret Stanley.

He is survived by: his sons, Gary Strayhall, Terry Strayhall (Jenny) and Richard Strayhall. He is also survived by three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Moline Boosters Club.
