He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Etheridge and Jimmie Nell Etheridge (Short); and his spouse Lajina Leasman. He is survived by: his children, Julie Etheridge (Larry Thorndyke) of Moline, Michelle Etheridge (Chris Swanson) of Silvis, Jess Etheridge II (Missy Lawson) of Colona, Danny Etheridge (Kendra Byrd) of Rock Island and Mike Wilson (Tami) of Geneseo; and his siblings, Linda Dhanenas of Moline, Charlie of Colona, Gary Lee of Moline and Henry Etheridge of Moline. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans.
