With profound sadness, we say goodbye to JoAnn Sherrod of Moline, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. JoAnn left this world on October 14, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ponce Sr. and Yvonne Ponce (Vroman); her husband Billy Sherrod; her son Dennis A. Sherrod; and her siblings, Albert Ponce, John Ponce Jr. and Delores Collis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Terri Henry (Mark), Erie and Sandra Horton (Carl); her daughter-in-law Lisa Sherrod-Coleman (Jim); and her sister Betty Carr (Delbert) of Pass Christian, MS.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or UnityPoint Hospice.
