He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Allen, and Daisy Allen, Sr. (Mitchell); his children, JoJo and Sheiron; and his grandson C. J..
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his daughters, Stephanie, Saundra, Susan and Sheila; and his grandchildren, Corey Anders (Elisa), Kendall Miles (Tommy), Shawntelle Thornton, Ronald Edwards (Aretha), Justin Edwards (Cecelia), Jordan, Jessica Edwards, Lateef, Kenya Allen McDowell, Brittany "Whitney" Lang (Phil) and Cheyenne Banks.
