He was predeceased by: his parents, Baldomero Zepeda and Otila Zepeda (Betancourt); his son Brandon Lundquist; and his sister Rosie Zepeda. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lundburg of Moline; his children, Nancy Benson of Moline, Marisa Peeters (Greg) of Solon, Sarah Lenning (Chad) of Groveland, Nic Zepeda of Bettendorf and Jared Zepeda of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Megan, Joseph, Jacob, Jordan, Jaclyn, Kayla, Corey, Ethan, Alaina, Caleb, Tyler, Keira, Owen, Addison, Maddox, Kennedy and Jamison; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Ava, Emma, Wyatt, Elijah, Ezequiel and Idris; and his siblings, Abiel Zepeda (Gloria), Raymond Zepeda (Kim), Oscar Zepeda, Cindy Izaguirre (John), David Zepeda, Irma Parker (John), Diana Garza (Sergio) and Robert Zepeda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
