He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Morales and Josephine Morales (Mendoza). He is survived by: his wife Maria Medrano; his children, Ricky Morales, Sherry Cosgrove (Michael), Joseph Morales, Jr. (Kathy), Maricele Elliott (Ted) and Richard Morales (Tera); and his siblings, Carmen Castro, Eleanor Morales, Mary Cruse, Theri Mathias, Danny Morales and Gilbert Morales. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Church, Moline.
