She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Leo and Catherine Christiansen (Brinkman); her former husband Richard S. "Mike" Otto; her son Kenneth S. Otto; and her siblings, Robert G. "Bob" Christiansen, Charles Christiansen, Charlotte Kendall, Marilyn Wallace, Doris Berning, Henry L. Christiansen, II, Edna Jensen and Ronald "Ronnie" Christiansen.

She is survived by: her husband V. Elmer "Sam" Samuelson; her children, Christie Coverdill and Teresa Karolek (Steve) of Pewaukee, WI; and her sister Carmen Lamb of Ottowa, IA. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice, Calvary Cemetery Road Improvement Fund or St. Pius X Rock Island for Masses.
