He was predeceased by: his parents, Golda May (Mapes) and Elmer Lester Knipe; his siblings, Lester Knipe, Richard Knipe (Doloris), Golda McCauley (Jim) and Ruth Muerhoff (Art); and his brother-in-law Steven Burdick.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Knipe of Bettendorf, IA; his daughters, Laura Knipe of Moline, IL and Rosemary Roberts (Josh) of Bettendorf, IA; his granddaughter Ruthie Roberts of Bettendorf, IA; his brother Robert Knipe of Arkansas; and his sister-in-law Margo Miller (Tim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, to be used for a local Christmas Party benefit dedicated to supporting deaf children and their families.
