He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Darby and Anna Darby (Beckman); his sister Evelyn N. Beukenhorst; and his close friend Diana Freels. He is survived by: his son William A. Darby of East Moline, IL; his stepdaughter Jamie Purdy of Colona, IL; and his grandchildren, Jennifer and Chance Darby.
