She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Vulysteke and B. Mildred Vulysteke (Hutchison); her husband Joe VandeMoortel; her granddaughter Katie VandeMoortel; and her sisters, Maxine Vulysteke and Kathryn Perrin.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Moon (Rich), Chris Stanley (Bruce) of Corpus Christi, TX, Gary VandeMoortel (Anne), Jan Fawcett (Ron) of Marion, IA, Mary Emmons (Mike), Mike VandeMoortel (Suzanne) and Bettendorf. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to T.E.C. or to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association.
